Analytics

BUSINESSWHITE-LABEL

Analytics counts the visits to your blog, so you can see what your readers like. Open Analytics in the menu on the left.

The Analytics page with sample numbers: total visits, a 30-day chart, top posts and top referrers.

What you see

Everything covers the last 30 days:

  • Total Visits, and how that compares with the 30 days before
  • Avg. Visits/Day
  • Top Referrer: the website that sent you the most readers
  • Visits Over Time: one point per day
  • Top Posts: your 10 most-read posts
  • Top Referrers: the 10 websites that sent you the most readers. Direct means people who typed your address, used a bookmark, or came from another page of your own site.

What counts as a visit

Every time someone opens your blog's homepage, a post, a category page or a tag page. These are not counted:

  • your own visits while you are signed in to the admin panel
  • search engines and other known bots

Privacy

Analytics is built into your blog. There is no extra script, nothing is sent to another company, and no cookie is set. It never stores a visitor's IP address or anything else that could identify a person: a visit is just "this page, at this time, coming from this website". It adds nothing to a cookie banner.

Visits older than 13 months are deleted by themselves.

Who can see it

Master accounts always can. To let someone else see the numbers, give their role the View Analytics permission in Team and roles. It is read only: it gives no access to posts or settings.
